I purposely went to Tucson recently to see what it was like there in the summer. I was out and about at 114 degrees and not really minding it. I wilt here when the temperature gets into the seventies. It's really quite amazing how that works. Dad and I were working out in the pool every morning before dawn. Full moon and Mars out there bright and beautiful. Quite lovely. I could get used to that.

But then I talked to the realtor who patiently explained to this newbie that they didn't even offer hard wood floors in their houses, or window sills, for that matter, because termites are rampant. And that the ground is so hard that you have to blast to put in a pool, which of course I would have. Quite an education, it was.
