Ask anyone who's been through a real hurricane, and they will explain that with winds of 100 MPH and up it will destroy almost anything in it's path.

Do you honestly think a piece of plywood would do any good in a situation like this?

Only rednecks put up boards...I've never known anyone to board up anything.

Not one place around here has a board in sight, and the hurricane might be aiming for us. The boats are moving out, and they're flying the planes to a safer place, but they're not boarding up the windows on bases!

With strong winds, our condo on the 15th floor had water blown in...do you think a piece of plywood would have done any good?

You protect what is precious, (life included) and forget the rest.

When you have as large a hurricane with high winds as this one has boarding up your windows with plywood isn't gonna help anything except the pockets of the local lumber yard.
