ask him when 12:00 pm is -
noon or midnight.

He says he knows that answer but remains in disagreement
with it. He thinks 12:00 PM should be right before 1:00 AM
since it would keep the numbers going in the correct
order. He also believes that the number 1 should be at the
top of the clock instead of 12. He thinks it is one of
the main reasons why things are so screwed up on this
planet.

He wants to know why the last number should be the first
instead of the first being first.

I gotta admit that I think he's got something to that
argument of his.

<Vonnegut snuffs his cigarette out in his empty shotglass and
mumbles something about how time should have followed the
binary system of numbers. Thinks it would make the day
seem to move along quicker. It would allow clocks to be
built much smaller, too.>

We got some deep thinkers hanging around here lately.
