Clark hurts Dean the most, followed by Edwards, Lieberman, Graham. Conventional wisdom here is that Clark will hurt Kerry. Maybe at first, but conventional wisdom has been wrong from the beginning. What counts is the long run when voters finally decide who to best run against Bush. Clark's emphasis on military experience may make this a MANDATORY qualification. So Kerry is helped. Plus Kerry will take charge and not let anyone else set the agenda. Clark also will eventually get scrutiny and people will realize that like Arnold S. he has no specific domestic policies. The winner in the end, Kerry. The likely ticket, Kerry-Clark, which is unbeatable. Why wouldn't Dems want an unbeatable ticket strong on military experience, two Silver Stars instead of one? They would. They will.

Also remember, Clark like Dean will not get much Super Delegate and party establishment help. The party always wants someone they know and can trust to win.

Finally, that article is inaccurate in one respect. No one is leaving the Kerry campaign, Chris Lehane got fired.
