Everyone is always overly-enthused with the attractive outsider, at first. Look at Arnold S's 45% in the first weeks of his campaign. Then he faces scrutiny and he's down to 25% or lower. Dean is facing scrutiny now and falling too. Dean peaked a month ago and has already fallen about 20%. Clark's entrance will suck up another 20% of Dean's support.

When Clark says he's not ready to comment on domestic issues, that means he won't be ready to lead the party in time. But he will be a welcome addition.

Also remember, Clark like Dean, being the outsider, has no natural base, no Super Delegate support, and no insider support.

This is going to be a very close race. I predict it may go all the way to the convention. If it does, then the party leaders will decide. Same as Dean, that means Clark is out, but he will be perhaps the most attractive VP candidate out there.

here is some good honesty for you:

how prepared was Clark for the ethnic cleansing that took place in Kosovo on his watch?
