Thomas, at least I try to look at both sides and try to see what other might perceive in my posts. I'd like to think that my posts evolve after input.

I haven't seen you change your views even when clearly and I say this "with respect" off the wall, a view shared not just by those who agree with me 100% as recently shown on this very thread.

As for the FL post, I agree with him that Palestinians have been used by their leaders, both within the PLO and within the broader Arab nation as pawns, keeping a hold on power and money, and caring little or doing anything for their own people's well-being.

It has been posted many times that Arafat and his cronies have personally benefited to the tune of a billion dollars socked away in personal accounts. His starving, uneducated people deserve a better fate than to waste the (largely US donated) funds in such a way.

The list of leaders who have used the Palestinian issue cynically to hide their own corruption, greed or power hungry rule is well-known. Just open a history book of the region over the past 50 years. There is plenty of land and plenty of resources for all. It has been the political will on both sides that have been lacking.
