<< It's a GOP dirty trick to try and magnify a little local issue which Kerry has little or nothing to do with. >>

LOL ! You are such an idealogogue !

It's a big issue because:

How the land-use matter gets resolved by the Fed govt, and subsequently by the courts after the inevitable lawsuit by the losing side, it'll be legally precedent-setting in terms of land-use rights.

The power from this thing would be enough to power the entire Cape Cod by itself. Maybe you've never been to Cape Cod, but trust me -that's a lot of clean renewable power.

A lot of new techical and scientific data would be compiled. There are many lessons that can be learned from an unprecented project like this.

It would create many new jobs when they are badly needed.

<<That's for the locals property owners to decide. >>

So you'd agree with the 'not-in-my-backyard' gazillionairre Kennedies and Cronkites? Even Robert Kennedy Jr., who heads some non-profit pro-wind power group is against it because uncle Ted's huge compound is right there at Hyannisport.

These are the same wealthy lefties who harp endlessly against power plants and coal and oil drilling in the Arctic. The hypocrisy is thick enough to cut with a knife.
