John, I think you are not taking into consideration the hatred built up in the Senate on Judges since 2000. This comment strays ever further from the original one. As for the "hatred" in the Senate, we need to note that the tactics employed by the dems are not nearly so destructive as those employed by the reps under Clinton. If you wish to call the one "hatred" you need to call the other such. And you need to read the 2000 to present period in the context of the previous period.
