Eisenhower had a constituency. He was a republican.

Look again at the groups I posted. How, in a primary of Dems, is a gung ho ex General going to attract votes?

Or are Clark and the Dems setting the table for him to become the next Perot?

Eisenhower should not be compared to Wesley Clark. Completely different situation. Clark is the only retired general who would take the carrot that the dems were so desperate to have anyone with an iota of military credentials take.
