Congress gave out those dangerous powers and a lot of them need to be revoked. The justice deparment has been training its people to stretch the limits of the law to extreme. Never ever ever trust the government with power. Not ever. You give the executive branch an inch on any enforcement and they take a mile and a half. The Justice dept is so stupid in this regard too. Prosecutors have had this wish list for years, and they are ready to lose it all due to the usual overeaching and stretching activities. What fools. These people never learn. I would find it hard to believe that Dean is that conservative on guns. I will never ever ever turn in my legally owned firearms.
