Yes, I agree that sensitivity is not one of our strong points. It is easy to give advice but hard to take advice. Perhaps it comes from man's belief that they have found the answer and everyone else is blind to the truth. I like to call it religiousity.

I am that way at times and I can get very indignant. I don't like myself when I allow my religion to interfere with God's grace. We must ask ourselves every day if we are open minded to new truths. Otherwise we stop learning and become narrow minded, hateful, self righteous bores. (grin)

><>...Good morning Sydney...><>

How have you been? I hope you and your family are doing well.

Thank you Sydney for caring and picking up on the judgment leveled against me in those posts posts.
But again I say: If the Bible is true I have only one judge. And in that I am at peace.

Sydney, I learned a very hard lesson over the years. Christianity is filled with..... "bible speaking people"! Unfortunately my friend, I was becoming one of them. And I hated myself for it.

Most of my friends were church going people.
They were real holy rollers. Every Sunday, same church, same time, same pew and even same parking spot. And God help the car that was in their spot! I witnessed many an argument immediately after "Holy Services"...like street gangs....right there in the parking lot.
Heard many back-biting comments. Many untrue and pure nasty remarks. Envy and lust is very much alive in churches.

"Gossip mills"...not Gospel mills!

Oh sure they looked harmless enough. Clean white shirts. Neatly pressed pants. Shiny new shoes. Their wives and children all so prim and proper. The Stepford wives had nothing on them. The most remarkable thing about them was that they all carried a Bible! That was the common thread. They all carried a Bible. The bigger the bible, the more important the person....It was said that the Bible that had the most "marks" in it was held by a man of Godly knowledge.
The older the Bible and the most "marked"...the more Godly and knowledgeable was it's owner.

The members "judged" everyone by the size and condition of his/her Bible!
But not the minister, no not him, he did not care about the size or condition of anybody's Bible....all he cared about was the size and frequency of their "dues"...publicly they call them donations.

And that is not even why I stopped going to church. I held membership and paid my "Dues" at many different churches over the years. Various denominations. Different cities, different states. From cathedral size churches to 25 seaters. They all played the same game. But I kept searching anyway I knew God had to be in one of them.

What I came to realize later would shock me.
I was wrong.! God was not a "member" of any church!

Oh sure He was referred to, He was spoken of and they even Quoted him... Wow could they quote him....but he was nowhere to be found in any church. 100 % of all church preachers...no matter the denomination live very well. Many live lavish lives. Some even live in multiple elaborate homes...and fly to and fro ...on vacation after vacation...while most of their "members" struggle to pay their electric bill, or put food on the table, some struggle just to keep a roof over their heads. Any way enough of that. It sickens me.

Churches? Ha! Jesus would have a field day today....with those old money changers!

Not to mention the TV "Evangelists". Everyone of them. Not one is clean...Not one!

Sydney I don't want to even get started down that road here and now, because it is filled with dirt and destruction. And it is not just in the Christian church. No way. But they are the ones who do most of the "JUDGING" of all of humanity.

To make a long story short...if it's not too late already, most, if not all, of the people I socialize with now...are not church goers.! But they are more filled with love and compassion for their fellow man than the whole world of Churches.

At some level, God is in everyone of their hearts. Not all of them wear clean white pressed shirts. Some of them don't have freshly pressed pants. Most of their shoes don't shine. And not all of their wives and children are prim and proper. And not one of them carries a Bible....marked or otherwise....some may not even own a Bible.! But the one common thread they all share is ...love...pure and "unscripted love". The kind that Jesus spoke of....The Sermon on the mount kind of love.

Anyway Sydney thank you again for your caring.

Have a good day
Shalom...><>
