California Sen. Feinstein Endorses Kerry
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer

SAN FRANCISCO - Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites)'s presidential bid got an influential endorsement Tuesday from California Sen. Dianne Feinstein (news, bio, voting record), who praised him for having the "strength, experience, leadership and judgment to be an excellent president."

Feinstein is the state's senior senator and arguably the most popular politician in vote-rich California. She is one of only two senators to endorse Kerry's presidential bid so far — the other being his Massachusetts colleague, Sen. Ted Kennedy.

In a statement, Feinstein said she was supporting Kerry for his leadership on a number of issues, including health care, tax policy and the environment. She also singled out his support for gun control and, specifically, a ban on assault weapons, which Feinstein wrote and is trying to extend over Republican objections.

"The assault weapon ban will expire next year," Feinstein wrote. "We need a president who will actively urge Congress to extend it, and John Kerry will do just that."

The endorsement comes at a critical time for the Massachusetts senator, who has seen his presumed front-runner status eclipsed in recent months by the surge of rival Howard Dean (news - web sites), the former Vermont governor.

A decorated Vietnam veteran who has tried to position himself as the best candidate to challenge President Bush (news - web sites) on national security issues, Kerry faces competition Wesley Clark, the former supreme NATO (news - web sites) commander who is poised to enter the Democratic race on Wednesday.

Your analogy to a "school yard" bully is appropos, because you and your ilk seem to think real global politics are just a school yard exercise. But you've pinned the tail on the wrong DONKEY.

Nobody's ever pinned me with that label, because it ain't so. Yet, recently I've seen lots of leftists squeal, "censorship," and the like, when they aren't given a podium with a mike to spew their venom, or are simply told to "shut up" once everybody's already heard their bulls*** and knows what's coming next.

Verbal intimidation? Ha! The left is the most outspoken, offensive, threatening, intimidating, and offensive political force in American politics today, just as it has been since left-wing politics came of age in Russia around 1917 (remember the Bolsheviks?) and in Europe and America thereafter.

The "coarseness" of politics that pundits refer to on Sunday talk shows didn't come about from Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, Dennis Hastert, or George Bush (I or II). The Left brought it about to get attention, and unfortunately it's become a way of life. Some of us have been through more than others, and aren't going to let you pukes have your way, so there.

So, don't go trying to play that crap here. It won't play.
