<you seem to want to protect these men and shoot our soldiers.>

The truth is exactly the opposite. I want to protect our soldiers, keep them alive, use them only in wars where they have a realistic chance of winning, where they are not told to do things they didn't train for, and told to do it with inadequate manpower. I want only wars with an exit strategy. I want the Powell Doctrine, which Rumsfeld and Bush have ignored.

I want the Geneva Conventions enforced, as I have explained in detail, not for their sake, but for ours. Specifically, for the sake of our soldiers. Simply put, our unilateralism, our arrogant behavior, acting as if no rules apply to us, this is going to lose the war, and mean more dead Americans. If we follow Hobbes, what chance is there of getting the rest of the world to follow Kant?

What you're doing is "shooting the messenger." This libel, this smear, calling any dissenter a traitor, these are McCarthite methods of debate.
