Great letter to Newsweek, Sept 22 edition.

NO SYMPATHY FOR GEOGHAN

In your article "preying on the predator" (Sept. 8), the Most Rev. Wilton Gregory, president of the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops, is quoted as saying that "prisons outght to be places where people can live out their sentences - priests or not." Well, I say, churches ought to be places where people can live out their faith - without fearing attacks from pedophile priests or not. Suddenly we're looking for ways to reform prisons, while the Roman Catholic Church continues on its merry way with reform a dim hope. John Geoghan existed in a hell of his own making and brought innocent children along for the ride. Is it any wonder that in the end he met the devil?

Now a note from me. It is very obvious the above writer does not approve of butt banging and all that other nasty stuff the church has encouraged by not taking action against pedophiles as they were caught. They merely "passed the trash" to the next church.

He's got to give his rich friends a tax break. We'll let future generations pay for the "war on terror".
