Yes, I think the tax cuts were the right thing to do. Ideally, however, they would have eliminated income taxes entirely and replaced it with a sales tax that exempts grocery items, utilities, and other necessities.

I am not convinced that health care is something the government understands how to value.

It isn't that way now? Public schools are failing in their stated mission, but not for a lack of funding.

In any case, I don't care what happens at the State or local level. New Jersey can raise taxes or replicate the Year Zero Total Revolution of Pol Pot for all I care, just so I don't have to live under such a regime.
