X, In general I agree with you on this, but Jacob made a point about calling our soldiers serial killers. You don't generlly start reasonable discussions from that kind of premise. My father and both grandfathers were soldiers, I was brought up in the military and happen to think most have a higher sense of duty and honor than most of us civilians. Jacob used to practice medicine, he would probably take umbrage if we were making sweeping (negative) remarks about doctors. We and our military have criminal justice systems. They have not yet failed. Just because he thinks he knows what happened at My Lai and what was whitewashed - doesn't imply it will happen again. We as a nation used to have slavery, we used to not let our women vote - things change. John
