small sliver of voters

Clark said an interesting thing in his speech today. He said he was running to serve "All Americans" and then went on to describe a segment of voters who had not participated or voted in the past. He said "You'll come with us."

This is an interesting strategy. Usually, a business or a candidate runs with an objective of stealing market share (the swing voters).
This comment leads me to believe they have a strategy directed against a new segment (those who have not voted lately or ever). If General Clark can excite a new set of voters to vote with an exciting targeted message it will be a real election! Probably one of the most interesting ever for political junkies.

I think his campaign will be very smart. He didn't get to have a resume like his by doing me-too tactics. Also, military strategy is the same as marketing strategy. Remember Objective, Strategy, Tactics?

I think he is unbeatable.
