China's UFSoft eyes HK or Nasdaq listing
Wed September 17, 2003 06:17 AM ET
HONG KONG, Sept 17 (Reuters) - China's largest software maker UFSoft 600588.SS said on Wednesday it would seek a future listing in Hong Kong or New York as it opened a Hong Kong office to develop overseas markets.
UFSoft's overseas sales effort comes as China-based ventures funded by heavyweights such as Microsoft Corp MSFT.O and Sun Microsystems Inc SUNW.O also look to expand their sales both locally and abroad.

"We aim to be one of the top 50 software companies worldwide in 2010," said UFSoft Chief Executive Officer Brett Ho, a former general manager at Oracle Corp ORCL.O in Taiwan and president of BroadVision Inc BVSN.O in Japan.

Ho said UFSoft was initially investing HK$3 million (US$380,000) to open a Hong Kong office as it launched a campaign to sell its products outside China.
