I believe there is some truth to this article. I also believe it works in reverse: What Makes the Clinton Haters So Mad? Maybe it is a sign of the times, or the easy access to both information and the distortion of that information, that allows people to 'build a case in their mind' against the object of their dislike. That dislike builds into a hatred, which smolders as more and more 'indignities' are heaped (real or imagined).

Are we trapped in this cycle? I was hopeful that when Bush won, he would deliver on his 'uniter not divider'. For reasons that are moot, it didn't happen. Will the next President have better luck? Or are we doomed to be at each other's throats? And, now that a whole industry is devoted to keeping us at each others throats (from Franken to Coulter, and cable news), can we ever loosen the grip?

Maybe if we someday elect a true independent. At one time, I'd hoped that Colin Powell was that man, but he seems...reluctant.

What Makes The Bush Haters So Mad? His tax cuts and His spending and His failure to insist on fiscal discipline have created financial crisis. His misrepresentations took us into a war under false pretenses.
