Have you heard that the ultimate price tag for Iraq is expected to be close to $400 billion?

Expected by who?

By Michael O'Hanlon from the Brookings Institute and other military experts. At first I thought they were exaggerating but with Bush's latest request, we will be up to $170 billion. Then Cheney said on Russert's show that they will be going back to Congress next year and ask for more when they have a better handle on their needs.

I think $400 billion is high but I think $300 billion is very likely.
