I've finished my chortling, such that it was--more observation/speculation rather than chortling on my part--and attempted to get Solon to belay his.

I do think it's a misimpression your therapist has, for whatever reason, about the nature of therapeutic massages and you're not likely to disabuse me of that opinion. Maybe if a dozen lurkers showed up and spoke to how turned on they had been by massages and how they lusted after their therapists I might reconsider. Maybe if you had some survey where massage recipients were questioned about their reactions. Failing that, I have to go by my experience, what others have shared with me about theirs, and my own sense of the way the world works.

FWIW, I started a new novel the other day. In the first chapter one of the characters, who hooks people up to EKGs for a living, spoke to how disengaged patients were when, for example, their breasts were moved about so that the proper connections could be made. That seems more believable to me than your therapist's expectation.
