Freidman is wise to the Weasels. About time. A very strong attack.

Really. I can only think of my elderly aunt's (no friend to Bush) reaction to French shenanigans - "Well of course all the French politicians are sh-ts. They always were. Who can be surprised at that?"

Friedman on France.

What took you so long, Tom?

Anyone with two neurons to rub together could have educated Friedman on French intentions long ago. To say that French policy concerning Iraq is short-sighted is obvious.

I think that perhaps we are seeing the fallout from a personality clash: Rumsfeld and Bush really do grate on the nerves of Chirac and Villepin, so much so that French policy is being adversely affected. They need to chill.

Let's say, just for debate purposes, that Friedman is right about the French. Then yet another great failure of Bush diplomacy is be out politicked by the French. Much of the globe sees us as the problem, not the French.
