Michael,
if he's rubbing it in everyone's noses aren't there chances that he is boasting and that reality differs materially ?? <g> Frankly I had a 1000%+ track record in the year 1999. However that was once so far in my history as a market participant. 2001 and 2002 have brought me negative yields, 2003 is nice again but percentage wise certainly not bordering the 1999 results.. what counts is longterm performance.. the market hikes and punishes different sectors and individual stocks all the time.. one strategy won't work in all situations..

He sounds like the kind of guy who is highly susceptible to the easy-come, easy-go scenario. He'll probably lose or waste most of his "earnings" and won't be talking then. Or if he continues to talk, he'll be talking entirely in past tense.

So, be happy for him now because this may be his only opportunity for someone else to be happy for him.
