ZIXI a short story sometimes fundamentals matter, sometimes not ZIXI is one of my favorite all time cult stocks, scam companies I forget what business they were in way back but about 5 years ago the founder of Blockbuster bought it he renamed it CUST went into the CD business was going to take over the music industry after a year or so he "re-invented" the company renamed it ZIXI got out of that business which never developed a product went into the internet e-mail security business spent a ton on computers and software came out and said THIS WILL BE BIGGER THAN THE INTERNET forcasted to have within two years 50,000,000 customers a year or two later after 100's of PR's listing tons of customers they still did not have even a $ in revenue so came out with another new product internet charge was going to destroy Visa and Master Charge still no revenues no customers come now they have had 5-10 new products quietly dropped most now do have sales of a few $mm over the years total sales were maybe $5mm losses of $180mm were about to run out of cash did a few debt conversions, and a secondary to raise a few bucks now yet another new wiz bang product meanwhile the stock went from 1 to 100 to 2 and now today to 10 gotta love it
