No, number of unemployed workers is rising. The latest monthly total of new unemployment claims fell slightly. A blip in the data, largely caused by more people exhausting their claims, and thus not being counted anymore.

Don't get excited until you see 100,000 new jobs per month. That is what it will take to keep unemployment from rising.
