You guys are simply funny
1)high error rate is not due to lack of the counting ability but because of the human (voters) errors
2)just because it works in germany does not mean it better - Hitler was very popular in germany at one point
3)the backdoor can be eliminated by isolating hardware (voting machines)

re: I find the phenomena of unauditable computer generated voting results at least as alarming as the proponents of paper ballots.

that is funniest of them all - to audit a simple counting device.
