We did the Aidsride twice. The first time on the tandem and the second time on singles. We really missed each other the second year. On of the more memorable sections was a flat outside King City where we had a tailwind. We sustained 40mph for about 35 minutes. We were flying past all of the singles. And then the road turned 90 degrees and that tailwind was now a crosswind and we were like a big sail......that was less fun.:-)

Going downhill is great, going uphill on a tandem sucks.

One girl who was on the ride broke her arm, but she wanted to finish. So she took turns riding on the back of tandems. I rode with her for half a day...I can see how it would be cool to take those who are blind for some nice rides.
