I don't consider 30 infantry and armored divisions of armed Iraqi soldiers that were killed to be thousands of "innocents" killed. There were certainly thousands of Iraqi armed troops killed. Many of those troops then threw off their uniforms and fled but maintained their weapons and became irregular militia type troops. Again, even in civilian clothes those irregular forces with weapons are not innocent civilians. Civilians were never intentially targeted, errors sometimes occur but if civilians were targeted Baghdad would be a wasteland looking more like the remains of Hiroshima. The innocents that were killed sacrificed their lives for the bright future of the Iraqi people and was a small price to pay to prevent the future genocide of MILLIONS of Kurds and Shiites, but I guess the few thousands if even that high are more important to you than MILLIONS murdered by the Baath Party.
