A direct reference? For some reason Bush made sure that he made no direct connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda. But he and other members of the administration made many references to the two. So many that 70% of the people believe that Saddam is involved with 9-11.

It's trickery. It's use of words and phrases to make people draw conclusions, that really aren't there. Diabolical. And definitely by design.
