The leaders of the Americans are convinced of the inutility of flag burning ...but it still goes on in this country, at least every now and then.

The leaders of America instigate flag burning? really? could you cite any examples?

If you assume that all three groups are the same, I think that your logic might make sense. But they're not, any more than different groups are the same in any other country.

Why don't you generalize a little more, Carl, you're being too specific -g-

Part of the problem in tracking who's doing what among the Palestinians is that they don't have a government in a normal sense, but something closer to competing Mafia families. However, the families have been running together fairly amicably during this intifada, as the desire to kill Jews functions as a good lowest common denominator. Hamas and PIJ were first with the suicide bomber strategy, and it proved so effective that Arafat leapt on the bandwagon with the Al Aqsa brigades.

Comparing this to either random crime or political protest (very little genuine political protest happens in the PA) is absurd, but no more than most of your arguments.
