Bill,
Just points up how important this nascent recovery is. Deficit will matter far less as the degree of robustness?? goes up. In my opinion, all this money needed to be spent so measures like defense and homeland security could be funded quickly. A rising tide lifts all ships and a rising deficit did that with some very un-republican programs as well. Just like in iraq, the big ?? is where we go from here. Deficits stretched as far as they can be imo and so are our troops. Gambling with our money causes folks like sullivan to get edgy. Gambling with the lives of our troops is a totally different story and if it seems one day that Rummys gamble hasnt paid off and hundreds more americans are dead, Bush will walk the plank in 04. I am guessing we have about 3 or 4 more months to solve these problems or for the problems to solve themselves if rummy is in fact right. Mike
