That is because Iraq's army was effectively destroyed about ten years ago. Since then they have been nothing.

I pointed out before Bill, that it would take 180 YEARS at the current casualty rate even with the daily roadside bombings in the news everyday (to make it look like Vietname to the ignorant public)to equal the number of casualites in Vietnam. Smart weapons in the form of bombs and missiles have made the difference from previous wars. If Saddam had been smart he wouldn't have put all his troops out in the open South of and around Baghdad. He would have concentrated all his forces in the Cities and towns to prevent neutralization by smart weapons and carpet bombing out in the open desert.
