You don't avoid the high road just because of what people will think. Did George Washington say, oh my God if I am the leader of an Army against the British, what will the Irish think? Or Abrham Lincoln, if I invade the Southern states what will the Canadians think of that? If we ran foreign policy based on what the world would think of us,we would in essence are conquered by the world. Leaders have to make gutsy decisions that a lot of people may not like. Don't be a pussy.
