It isn't explicit in Mojo's succinct statement, which I wrote for him, but Jewel is long on record as holding what you might call the Islamic view of women, that the Islamic system protects women. I don't have a clip but I remember him making reference to that early in the discussion and I think that is at least a part of Moho's thinking. Everyone focused on the stimulation part in their comments, but I think that part of this is that it is disrespectful to women for strange men to touch them so intimately, kind of an invisible burka. That I what I was referring to by paternalism.

And the other part, the part you're thinking of, is the fear thing, the fear of accidental stimulation, which may be subsumed under the paternalism thing in his mind, for all I know. Personally, as a woman I am more offended by paternalism than the other faces of discrimination, but that's just me. Many women like being protected.
