I researched in South Central LA and found it surprisingly safe. Of course it's not as safe as Brentwood, but the rap it gets is a lot worse than the reality. This is shown clearly in "Bowling for Columbine". Iraq meanwhile is a very deadly place for our troops, despite the fact they're the best armed forces in the world. We literally have no idea who our enemy are still. Al Qaida operatives and "Saddam loyalists"? Not necessarily true at all. The Bushies still don't have a clue. So how can you hunt down an enemy you cannot even identify?
