That's the swindle, but what alternative is there?

You suggest measuring in gold but the value of all the gold and gold shares doesn't even equal the capitalization of Coca Cola! That would mean the gold price would have to reach tens of thousands or even millions of "whatever" per ounce to be equivalent to all the paper dollars.

Anyway, it would take a revolution, even greater than the Communist revolution, before the Paper Aristocracy will give up their control of the printing presses --- and the US government.

You've said it. Therefore, the only thing ordinary mortals like ourselves can do is to try and hedge ourselves as best we can. If you think gold is the way, then I wish you luck, you could be right.
