Here is an interesting "story" on the SOX for the past 3 weeks. At the bottom line, the SOX is up 1 percent while the NASDAQ is up 5 percent. The SOX wouldn't even be doing that well without the sterling support of TER and NSM, which are up 23 percent over this period. Look at the other 3 semi-equips in the SOX - NVLS, KLAC, and AMAT, which are under performing the SOX with losses of 4, 5, and 5 percent respectively.
