IMHO it is always good to remember that if you never go to work again, they will fill your spot and go on. Once had a supervisor tell us in a memo that if anyone thought they were really important to the company and thought they couldn't be done without, that they should stick their hand in a bucket of water and then pull it out to see how big a hole they would leave. Real moral booster!! Always good to know where you stand though!
