But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. --2 Timothy 2:23-26 Since Jesus is the Son of God, He wasn't there in Genesis Jesus is in every book of the old testament, starting with the very first verse in the bible. i will be happy to show you the thousands of examples where he is found in the old testament. how do we know Jesus was around before his incarnation 2,000 years ago? well there are countless examples, but let's start at the beginning. what does the first verse in the bible say?In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. how do we know that it was Jesus who created the heavens and the earth?Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: --Colossians 1:13-16 the bible tells us Christ created all things! is there other evidence that tells us Christ is eternal and has always been there? how about his own words? you said you believe in Christ, so i trust that you accept his own words. In revelation chapter one Jesus says he is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last. if Jesus "wasn't there in Genesis", he really wouldn't be the beginning now would he? i don't believe he was lying to us when he said he was the beginning, and the first. was paul lying when he said Jesus created all things? How about God the Father himself. i trust you will accept his words in genesis. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness --Genesis 1:26 did God have a mouse in his pocket when he said "us"? :)The book of genesis does not mention Jesus sure it does. Jesus goes by a myriad of different titles throughout the bible. i could spend all night listing them. just because you don't see the word "Jesus" in the old testament doesn't mean Jesus wasn't there.
