Ok, but I did take the history in about the last 30 years, as rates have been higher. Will they trend back to their historical pre-1970 low rates? Probably not, but that is still a huge debt load to add. If next year is as bad, that's an additional $1 trillion on the debt in two years. The difference between 4% and 6% just delays the inevitable bankruptcy...
