Back when I was in high school I was into natural sciences. I was taking a college level Earth Science course plus doing some extra studies. The church that my family and I went to was a Lutheran Church and they were big into Creation.

They wanted to have a debate, creation vs evolution. Like a dummy, I was the onliest one to volunteer for the evolution side. The creation side was represented by the well liked Lutheran school principal who was also the science teacher. 300 people showed up who KNEW the principal was the smartest guy in the world.

I tried the time means nothing to God bit along with the people who scribed the Bible had no concept of eternity. They crawled all over me like ants at a bad picnick. I had charts... even showed how corn had gone from a one stemmed plant with all the leaves on the bottom and 8 seeds on the stem to what we grow now. That's evolution but even the farmers who were looking for the next big producing, evolved, hybrid didn't buy it.

In the end, which happened sooner than planned, I said if the Bible said that then it's wrong. I have paid for that. BTW, I have read the entire Bible twice now and never have seen where evolution doesn't happen. Doesn't give a year when the Earth was created either. I did read in St. Paul's letters that no matter how good a woman was, if her husband went to hell, she did too.

haqihana, i thought you just finished admonishing me for putting my faith in the words of men? you openly reject the word of God, yet put your faith in the encyclopedia britannica!

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
