I think that your forecast assumes a number of benign and probably unrealistic assumptions. Greenspan will not be Fed chairman beyond June 2004 and we do not yet know who Bush will name to succeed him. Fiscal policy as you note is a big concern and a recovering economy next year will make it very difficult for the dems to unseat the incumbent president. I wouldn't count on a recission of tax cuts or a cutting of war expenditures. It is wishful thinking to expect him to reverse course.

If the correct political decisions are made, the improving economy will get the projected Federal budget back in balance, the recovery will not be abruptly cut off by high inflation and interst rates, my forecasts will be met, and I will live happily ever after.
