That means that if you have a 401k or other retirement plan and it places you just above the poverty line then you get nothing back. I guarantee thats whats going to happen.


Either that or just print up some more money. The deficit will rise through out the end of the boomer generation then generation after generation can pay it back down after they're gone.

The one time budget surplus which could have been used to pay down the debt and ensure the solvency of Social Security has now been squandered in the form of tax cuts for the wealthy and deficit spending on the war in Iraq. We definitely need to turn this around right now.

Something tells me nothing will be done on these matters until Nov. 2004, when America will have a chance to send a message to Washington, and vote Bush out.

Thats why politicians need to be licensed like engineers to prevent malpractice for complete incompetence

Unfortunately, it's just getting worse and worse. Politicians are becoming entertainers and actors instead of leaders. As that happens, they become less and less competent as statesmen. Can you imagine Bill Gates running for office? He'd be laughed out, yet he's done pretty well for himself...
