The article as usual glosses over the detailed mechanics. We are suppossed to just accept such information on faith. The way the militant system works is the only schooling the poor get is religious school training. They learn the Quran, that is the extent of their education. Pretty hard to get a job with a degree in the Bible let alone the Quran. Then when they can't get a job some are angry and are easy prey to terrorist recruiters. Since Riyaad doesn't run the schools, I don't see how they directly contribute to this problem. There should be an alternative school system for everybody, but there isnt. For this Riyaad is responsible.

The writer of that article also has crucial business dealings with the Saudis, as do you, I'm sure. You and he should end your own dealings with the Saudis before criticizing others who might actually be successfully keeping oil flowing and keeping world oil prices from going through the roof while combating terrorism that seems to emanate from the same region that your heat, transportation, and the power for your internet connection come from.

I don't suppose that you are familiar with an old saying, "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face."
