I'm all in favor of the infrastructure spending. There I get something for my money but do not like the Davis Bacon set labor pricing act which sets labor rates higher than the market as a free unafordable giveaway. I also don't like the cheap materials that are being speced for highway and street pavements in order to ensure a continual need for repairs and thus construction jobs and votes. It would be nice to be able to use those workers to do something more productive where workers are really needed rather than propping up road maintenance.
