nobody thought Clinton had a chance in the beginning either. Both Clark and Dean have way more press than Clinton did early on.... it seems like it to me anyway. There was a lot of press on Ross Perot in 92. I think Clark has more presence than Clinton even. Dean no slouch either.

Lets put it this way, who do you think would win a debate, Dean or Bush. Who is smarter? I really think that if things don't improve drastically on all 3 fronts, war, jobs, deficit- Bush is going to get hit by a speeding freight train of fed up swing voters. The fact that these republicans dwell on things like Gay marriage and Clinton's sex life is a desperate attempt to direct attention away from Bush's dismal record. I mean really, Bush is a pathetic failure. You can't recover from the mean spirited jokes about Bush policies all the comedians are making. Its not the same as with Clinton, whose life was characterized as more of a joke. Jokes about creating a deficit to finance Halliburton are damaging, as they should be (especially if it is the truth).

The reality of national politics disqualifies Dean.
Actually he disqualified himself with the "Hamas are soldiers" remark. All Karl ROve has to do is play that line 100,000 times on Tv juxtaposed with women and children being blown up in Israel and Bush will beat Dean by a Dukakis like landslide. Anyone but Dean. Kerry-Clark double Silver Star ticket the strongest, as is reflected in the latest polls.
