Re: I would like to see the FBI release a detailed, verifiable report.

The FBI? Are you delusional? The FBI's main job today is to hide the truth from the American public.

Look at the chain of command. Robert Mueller reporting to John Ashcroft. And you expect the truth to emerge? How naive.

The truth was suppressed by John Ashcroft on June 11, 2002 when he upstaged both the Unanswered Questions.org and the Colleen Rowley testimony from his sound stage at KGB headquarters at Lubyanka Prison, Moscow.

Ashcroft was breathlessly claiming to have captured a nucular terrorist. It turned out that the perp was a dud.

But in the meantime, the truth was shredded, composted and dismissed.

And you are happy with Bush, Ashcroft and the boys? You must be working an angle.

No one, other than those who prosper due to the phat rewards of crony capitalism have the least bit of respect for the game that Bush and Cheney are playing.

Are you on the take?

Yes, it may be a rush to judgement, but I rather doubt that there will be an a report, even though a report may convince me otherwise.

Like you, I think there should be a report, for the sake of the families of the victims at least.

But I'm not holding my breath.

<<<Regardless of the privacy issues involved, I would like
to see the FBI release a detailed, verifiable report.>>>

If as the article states, the trades were related to fund activity, there are no privacy issues involved. Funds are required by law to disclose their positions on a quarterly basis.

As another poster pointed out, there was also no mention of the unclaimed proceeds on a big chunk of those options. Pretty unusual behavior on the part of legitimate funds on legitimate trades. In addition, there was no mention of the multi billion dollar bond transactions which took place shortly before 9/11.

ALL of that information should be a matter of public record if the posted article had any basis in fact. And, as Ray pointed out, the source of the article, the FBI, has an unbroken record for prevarication since at least January 2000. As a source of information, the FBI has established a nice record for being totally unreliable. As a contrairian indicator, they aren't bad though.
