As I posted to Jim Willie CB, we don't need 1:1 parity with engineering talent. You know what I think, I think we have over offshored right now even and some business will come back. I have about 100 indian workers and in my view about 30% of them are non competitive vs. the same money spent here. But anyway a slight rise in currency will help...but the longer term is the real issue, a floating yuan will ensure we aren't just fighting some losing battle with labor forever.

The labor market we are trying to save is white collar engineering and the ratio is not 1 to 30, it is 1 to 5 right now. Check it out for yourself. Mindmeld on the Cisco thread is an accountant and he has indian accountants and he is paying 40% US rates for them. A few more eensie weensie upticks in the rupee and those jobs are right back home.
