RtS, thank you. Will look at your charts Monday. We had a local cable outage until just now. Futures and Nikkei down fairly big, don't know why.

RE: Long Term Monthly Charts of the SOX and its components:

Thanks for the charts

I was quite concerned as it seems two I hold, AMAT and LRCX, were getting close to the upper Bollinger Bands AND they looked to be topping out on the monthly.
THEN
I put in one of the "canary stocks"
stockcharts.com[h,a]maclyyay[d19960101,20031207][pb20!b50!b200!c13!c20!c50!d20,2!i!f][vc60][iub14!la12,26,9!li10,10!lh5,5!lp14,3,3!ll14!lg]
and it made me think this was a new leader or
another
stockcharts.com[h,a]maclyyay[d19960101,20031207][pb20!b50!b200!c13!c20!c50!d20,2!i!f][vc60][iub14!la12,26,9!li10,10!lh5,5!lp14,3,3!ll14!lg]
that nearly went bankrupt, is up huge but its bollinger bands are greatly expanded
thus it is less clear than before!
Hmmmm
