<<This thread could do a great service to its proponents if we all reported what we are being told to buy by the amateurs, not the professionals.>>

Elizabeth, I couldn't agree more. There will come a point when we may as well throw the charts out the window and listen to the mobs who follow the likes of Calandra. We just witnessed what he can do with Crystallex. I'm sure hes just warming up. But it will even be more insane when gold stocks become the flavor of the day in every household. What worries me is that those of us who have been involved in this industry over the years are not going to be able to let go and let er rip. Some people here ( certainly not me ) are many many years ahead of the curve in their knowledge of individual companies and it will be too easy to talk ones self out of stocks that are destined to become huge and irrational winners simply because the company has the word gold or silver in its name and nothing more. When gold makes some real noise most people will stampede into anything that has the word gold in it including Golds Gym. The big losers will be those who tried to make some sense of it, those who knew too much for their own good....hmmmmm like my friend EC who has talked himself out of every profitable play here for as long as I can remember. Eric, get back to the basics and sell gold pans on eBay because you will probably get rich when gold goes to 2,000.00/oz and people want to start panning in the L.A. river rather than listen to you telling them that the L.A. River will never be a mine <G>

What's in a name ?
This may be something important to dwell on. Look back on the gold rush days and check out the names on the saloons and towns, hey why not go a step further and look at the names of the casinos in Reno and Carson City. Think about it and then you will see my point that men will lose all reason when gold fever hits and will go for the name FIRST ! I wonder if the companies who picked silly names like I AM GOLD or Golden Star etc. knew that one day their names might be as big an asset as their resources.

My indicator to sell the last of my holdings, stocks and physical, will be when I hear that people are lining up at the banks to buy.
Well maybe I'll keep a little physical for sentiment.
